An infomotion exploring the socio-historical connections between sugar and beauty standards. The animation reveals hidden patterns and narratives that show how society’s access to sugar has shaped perceptions of beauty.

The visual language combines photographic collage, illustration, 2D motion, and frame-by-frame animation, with morphing elements that bring the theme “seen in a new light” to life. A bubble-gum-inspired palette, animated grain textures, and a playful soundscape reinforce the concept, creating an engaging, informative, and visually cohesive experience.
